Liberty Mutual: Highway Hero

Highway Hero is a mobile app that tracks your driving behavior through a point system and rewards you with rebates on car insurance. 

Working with the team at Sapient I presented three succinct design concepts to the client based on an existing third-party application. Once the direction was chosen I refined the concept by choosing fonts, creating a logo, color palette and icon style.

With the design system set I was responsible for building page templates and a library of almost 100 icons and illustrations. Along the way there were also hidden UX opportunities such as adding a notifications feature.

Below: As you earned points overall you also earned badges for practicing specific good driving habits. The badges were a great place to push the limits of the icon based approach.
